This standard specifies the requirements and measurement methods of catalytic converters for petrol vehicles.
This standard is applicable to catalytic converters for petrol vehicles.
This standard is also applicable to catalytic converters for vehicles fueled with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

3.2 Original catalytic converter
Catalytic converter or catalytic converter assembly installed in batch production during type approval for certain kind of vehicle
