Determinating the epoxy value of plasticizers
1 Scope
Method A of this standard is applicable to the determination of epoxy value of epoxy plasticizer, and method B is applicable to the determination of epoxy value of epoxy plasticizer which does not completely react with acetone-hydrochloride solution at room temperature.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

epoxy value
the oxygen content in the ethylene oxide group in every 100 g sample.
4 Reagents and solutions
Unless otherwise stated, only three-level water in GB/T 6682 or equivalent purity shall be used in the analysis. Unless otherwise specified, he standard titration solutions, preparations and products used in the analysis shall be prepared according to GB/T 601 and GB/T 603.
4.1 Hydrochloric acid [7647-01-0].
4.2 Acetone [67-64-1].
4.3 Pyridine [110-86-1].
4.4 95% ethanol [64-17-5].
4.5 pyridine hydrochloride solution: Take 16 mL hydrochloric acid and 984 mL pyridine, mix well and seal for later use.
4.6 acetone-hydrochloride solution: The volume ratio of hydrochloric acid and acetone is 1:40, and it is stored in a glass bottle for standby.
