The standard specifies the contents related to low-alloy high-tensile structural steel plate and strip in designation, technical requirements, test method, test rules, package, mark and quality certificate.
The standard is applicable to thick steel plate and strip (the thickness is not larger than 100 mm) for high-yield strength structures, which are supplied in condition quenching plus tempering, normalizing plus tempering, normalizing and controlled rolling, and the yield strength is 420MPa - 690MPa.
