GB/T 16253-2019 Steel castings for pressure purposes
1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, quality instructions, packaging, transportation and storage of steel castings for pressure purposes, and supplementary requirements.
This standard is applicable to steel castings for pressure purposes made of carbon steel and alloy steel.

3 Technical requirements
3.1 General requirements
3.1.1 When required in the contract, the castings produced for the first time, their procedures, technical documents, etc. shall be approved by both the supplier and the purchaser.
3.1.2 Supplemental requirements for steel castings for pressure purposes in Annex B may be selected by the purchaser as necessary, and information may be provided with reference to Annex C; the technical requirements and inspection rules of the selected items, if not stipulated in this standard, shall be agreed upon by the supplier and the purchaser and stated in the contract.
3.2 Grade and chemical composition
The grade of cast steels and the chemical composition of their castings shall meet those specified in Table 1.
