1 Scope
This standard specifies dimensions, terminology and codes of three-dimensional reference system, driver's compartment and passenger compartment in a bus.
The terms stated in this standard are applicable to all kinds of buses .
This standard does not cover the terms and dimensional requirements on electric apparatus, light fitting, instrument, indicators, signal devices and others used in driver's compartment.

The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated reference, subsequent amendments to (excluding correction to), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, the parties whose enter into agreement according to this Standard are encouraged to research whether the latest editions hereof are applied or not. 3 Terms, codes and dimensions
3.1 For purpose of this standard, the terms specified in GB/T 15089 and the requirements of GB/T 15759 on Class 3 model apply.
3.2 This standard defines the codes for all terms and dimensions. Term code is consisted of representative letters of term name; dimension code is consisted of letters and digits, letters indicating dimension category and digits indicating the number of the dimension. The corresponding relationships of dimension category and letters are as follows:
