GB/T 12967.1-2020 Test methods for anodic oxidation coatings and organic polymer coatings of aluminium and aluminium alloys - Part 1: Measurement of abrasion resistance
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 12967 specifies the abrasive blasting method, sand falling method, paper tape wheel abrasion method, rubber wheel abrasion method, rubber abrasion method and friction coefficient measurement method.
The abrasive blasting method is applicable to the measurement of abrasion resistance of anodic oxidation coatings and organic polymer coatings with thickness of coating not less than 5 μm, and is applicable to smaller specimens and those with uneven surface.
The sand falling method is applicable to the measurement of abrasion resistance of anodic oxidation coatings and organic polymer coatings, and is applicable to smaller specimens and those with uneven surface.
The paper tape wheel abrasion method is applicable to the measurement of abrasion resistance of anodic oxidation coatings and organic polymer coatings with thickness not less than 5 μm, and may be used for measuring the overall abrasion resistance of the coatings and the change of abrasion resistance along thickness of coatings, but is not applicable to specimens with uneven surface.
The rubber wheel abrasion method is applicable to the measurement of abrasion resistance of anodic oxidation coatings and organic polymer coatings, and may be used for measuring the overall abrasion resistance of coatings, but is not applicable to specimens with uneven surface.
The rubber abrasion method is applicable to the measurement of abrasion resistance of anodic oxidation coatings and anodic oxidation composite coatings with thickness less than 5 μm, and may be used as reference to functional coatings and texture coatings.
The friction coefficient measurement method is applicable to products such as aluminium floor and aluminium foil which require slip resistance.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 8005.3 and the following apply.
3.1
reference specimen
specimen prepared according to the conditions approved by both the supplier and the purchaser
4 Abrasive blasting method
4.1 Method overview
Under specified conditions, blast the dry silicon carbide particles on the inspection area of the specimen until its metal matrix is exposed. The abrasion resistance of the coatings is evaluated by abrasion time and sand wear mass.
4.2 Apparatuses
4.2.1 Abrasive blasting tester
