1 Subject Content and Application Scope
This standard specifies the determination of bromine index in petroleum hydrocarbons by electrometric titration.
This standard is applicable to the determination of hydrocarbon mixtures having a distillation end point under 288℃ and free from light fractions of a boiling point lower than -10℃, and hydrocarbons with bromine indexes in the range from 100 to 1000, which include such petroleum distillates as straight-run and hydrocracked naphtha, reformer feed, kerosene and aviation turbine fuel, etc.
