1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of centrifugal and vortex pumps of ship (hereinafter referred to as: pumps).
This standard is applicable to the design, manufacture and delivery of various sea water pumps, fresh water pumps and oily water pumps used in ship cooling system, bilge ballast system, circulating water system, fire fighting system, auxiliary boiler water supply system, daily water supply system, etc.

2: outlet
a: apparatus
C: critical
r: required
rms: root-mean-square limit value
SP: rated
3.2 The abbreviations used in this standard are as follows:
NPSH: net positive suction head
(NPSH)a: net positive suction head of apparatus

4 Design and structure
4.1 Minimum operating clearance
For bronze, 11%~13% hardened chrome steel and materials with similar low occlusal tendency, the minimum operating clearance shall meet those specified in Table 1. For the diameter above 150mm, the minimum operating clearance shall be 0.43mm+0.025mm, of which 0.025mm is the clearance increment for each 25mm increase in diameter. For materials with larger occlusal tendency and working temperature higher than 260℃, the above-mentioned diameter clearance shall be added by 0.125 mm.
When bronze materials are used to transport clean fluid with a temperature below 50℃, the manufacturer/supplier can adopt a clearance smaller than the value specified in Table 1.
