Planting design is the design activity to reasonably arrange various plants, as well as exert their functions and ornamental characters according to the requirements of plant ecological habits and overall green space design.
2.0.4 Historical tree and famous wood species
Historical trees refer to the trees whose tree ages are over one hundred years in general. Famous wood species generally refer to precious and rare trees, or trees with historical, scientific, cultural values and important memorable meanings, or trees planted by historical and modern celebrities, or trees with historical event, legend and other natural cultural background.
2.0.5 Revetment
Revetment is the engineering facility for protecting the water coast.
2.0.6 Soil natural angle of repose
Soil natural angle of repose is the maximum included angle formed between the stable slope through natural settling and the ground level, under the condition of soil natural stacking.
2.0.7 Elevation
Elevation is the vertical height from the ground to the measuring point, using the geoidal surface as the base level and the zero point (original bench mark).
2.0.8 Balance of cut and fill
The cut quantity is almost the same as the fill quantity in a certain area.
2.0.9 Slope protection
Slope protection is the slope type protection engineering set to prevent the soil mass side slope vicissitude.
2.0.10 Retaining wall
Retaining wall is wall built to prevent soil mass slope failure.
2.0.11 Steps over water
Steps over water are stepping stones laid in the water to help people walk across the river.
2.0.12 Garden building
Garden buildings are buildings constituting components of green space landscape with a certain use functions and ornamental values.
2.0.13 Special garden building
Special garden buildings are the buildings with special shapes and functions in the green space, such as animal cages, greenhouses, underground buildings, underwater buildings and recreational buildings, etc.
2.0.14 Small garden ornaments
Small garden ornaments are small facilities in the garden for rest, decoration, landscape lighting, display, garden management and convenience for the tourists.
2.0.15 Green wall
Green wall is the garden facility higher than the people's sights, formed by plants or plant frames with thick branches and leaves.
2.0.16 Rockwork, artificial hill
Rockwork is the artificial structure made of soil and stones to imitate the natural hillside view for landscaping, ascending and overlooking.
2.0.17 Man-made rockery
Simulation rockery made of artificial materials.
2.0.18 Sign or marker
Denoter, indicator, warning sign, instruction plate and tourist map, etc. set in the green space.
2.0.19 Waterfront flat roof or terrace garden on water, platform
Waterfront flat roof is the single or compound platform set in the beach, riverside and waterside close to the water surface for the tourists to approach the water, enjoy the view and play with water.
3 Basic Requirements
3.0.1 Design of urban green space shall include overall design, single design and monomer design, etc.
3.0.2 Design of urban green space shall base on the approved urban green space system planning. The scope and characters of green space shall be defined, and the overall design shall be worked out according to its quality and positioning.
3.0.3 The overall design of urban green space shall be in accordance with the green space function requirements, adjust measures to local conditions, exert the ecological, landscape and production functions of urban green space, as well as realize such effects as complete functions, reasonable layout, various plants and beautiful landscape.
3.0.4 Design of urban green space shall advocate the design concept of protecting, utilizing and properly transforming the original ecological environment, according to the practical situation of the base.
3.0.5 The layout of urban green space should be multiplex, uniform, and concise but not monotone; each subarea shall be connected organically. The urban green space shall be coordinating and uniform with the surrounding environment.
3.0.6 As for the green plants in the urban green space of different characters and types, the proportion of their planting area to the total land area shall meet the requirements of the national current relevant standards. Plants shall be the major elements in the design of urban green space. Plant ecological habits, planting forms and phytocoenosium diversity and rationality shall be paid attention to as for the arrangement of plants.
3.0.7 The existing trees within the range of the urban green space should be reserved and utilized. If the trees are required to be transplanted during the improper transplanting time, corresponding technical measures shall be adopted to ensure their survival. Grow-slow tree species whose DBH are longer than 250mm shall be reserved in place.
3.0.8 Within the range of urban green space, historical tree and famous wood species must be reserved in place.
3.0.9 Buildings in the urban green space shall be harmonious with the environment and meet the following requirements:
1 The building area in the park green space shall be determined according to the character and scale of the park green space. Building area in the small park green space shall not be larger than 3%; in the large park green space should be 5%; in the zoo, arboretum and amusement park can be improved properly.
2 Total various building area in other green space must not be larger than 2% of the total land area.
