1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated with view to following the principle of "Safety First, Prevention Primary and Treatment Comprehensive " for power supply and consumption for construction site, ensuring personnel and equipment safety during power supply and consumption at the construction site, and realizing safety, reliability, high quality, economy and rationality of design, construction, operation, maintenance and demolition for the installation of power supply and consumption.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to design, construction, operation, maintenance and demolition for the installation of power supply and consumption at a voltage of up to and including 10 kV at the construction site of general industrial and civil construction engineering, but inapplicable to underwater, under-shaft, mine and other similar engineering.
1.0.3 Power supply and consumption for construction site shall meet the following principles:
1 Personnel at the construction site shall be protected against electric shock hazard;
2 Installation of power supply and consumption and electric tools and machines at the construction site shall comply with the requirements of the relevant current standards of the nation and the lines shall be well insulated.
1.0.4 Design, construction, operation, maintenance and demolition for installation of power supply and consumption at construction site shall not only meet the requirements of this code but also comply with those in the current relevant ones of the nation.
2 Terms
2.0.1 Electric shock
Physiological effect arising from current flowing through human or animal body
2.0.2 Direct contact
People or animal being in contact with the live parts
2.0.3 Indirect contact
People or animal being in contact with the exposed conductive parts which have become live under fault conditions
2.0.4 Prefabricated cubical substation
A complete set of power distribution equipment, composed of such elements as high-voltage switchgear, power transformer, low-voltage switchgear, electric energy measuring equipment, reactive compensation equipment, auxiliary equipment and joint pieces, that are preassembled in one or several case(s) in the factory, to be used for transmitting electric energy from high voltage system to low voltage system.
2.0.5 Degree of protection
Degree of enclosure inspected by the method specified in the standards for protecting against ingress of hazardous components or against solids or water.
2.0.6 IP code
The code system that indicates degree of enclosure for protecting people from getting close to hazardous parts or against ingress of solids or water, and the additional information related to such protections
2.0.7 Neutral conductor (N)
Electrical conductor connected to the neutral point and capable of distribution
2.0.8 Protective conductor (PE)
The conductor set against electric shock for the purpose of safety
2.0.9 PEN conductor (PEN)
The conductor that combines the functions of both protective conductor (PE) and neutral conductor (N)
2.0.10 External line
The electric lines other than power supply and consumption lines for construction site
2.0.11 Exposed conductive part
The conductive part that can be touched on equipment, which is not live under normal condition, but may be live in case of basic insulation damaged
2.0.12 Earth-termination system
The generic name of earth electrode and earthing wire
2.0.13 Protective earthing
One-point or multi-point earthing of system, device or equipment for the purpose of electrical safety
2.0.14 Earth resistance
The sum of the resistance to ground of earth electrode or natural earthing electrode and the resistance of earthing wire. The value of earth resistance is equal to the ratio of the voltage to earth of earth-termination system to the flow into the earth through earth electrode.
2.0.15 Earth electrode
The conductive part, in electric contact with the earth, which is buried in soil or specific conductive medium
2.0.16 Natural earthing electrode
Varied metal members, metal well casing, foundation of reinforced concrete construction, metal pipes and equipment, etc. in direct contact with the earth, which can be used for earthing
2.0.17 Safety isolation transformer
The isolation transformer that is such designed as to provide SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage).
