1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated with a view to secure the installation quality and function of automatic fire alarm system, to prevent and reduce fire hazard and protect safety of life and property.
1.0. 2 This code is applicable to the automatic fire alarm systems provided in the industrial and civil buildings, but is not applicable to the automatic fire alarm systems provided in locale for production and storage of gunpowder, dynamite, ammunition and initiating explosive devices.
1.0.3 Before the delivery of the automatic fire alarm system, it shall pass the acceptance procedure.
1.0.4 The installation and acceptance of automatic fire alarm systems shall comply with not only the requirements stipulated in this code but also those in the current relevant ones of the nation.
2 Basic Requirements
2. 1 Quality Management
2. 1. 1 The classification of part, subpart and sub-divisional projects shall be done according to the requirements in Appendix A.
2. 1. 2 The installation of automatic fire alarm system must be carried out by the related installation organizations with certain qualification.
2. 1. 3 The installation procedures of automatic fire alarm system shall be done according to the design requirements. The installation site shall be provided with necessary installation standards and sound quality management and inspection system. Related records shall be done according to the requirements given in the Appendix B of this code.
2. 1. 4 The following conditions shall be provided before the installation of automatic fire alarm system.
1 The design organization shall explain clearly the technical requirements to the construction, installation and supervision organizations.
2 The system equipment, materials and fitting parts shall be ready for normal installation.
3 The water, electricity and gas needed for system installation shall meet the need of normal installation.
2. 1. 5 The installation of automatic fire alarm system shall be carried out according to the approved design documents and installation standards without any changes. If it is necessary to change the design, it shall be done by the original design institute.
2. 1. 6 The quality control of the installation of automatic fire alarm system shall meet the following requirements:
1 The quality of different working procedures shall he controlled according to the Installation standard. Inspection shall be done after the completion of each working procedure. The next procedure shall not be started until the previous procedure meets the requirements of related standards.
2 When hand over is done among different types of work, inspection shall be required and the next procedure shall not be started until the project supervisor signs for approval.
3 After the completion of the system Installation, it shall be commissioned by the installation organization according to the related commissioning requirements.
4 After the completion of the commissioning, installation unit shall submit the quality control documents and quality inspection records of all kinds of working procedures to the construction unit.
5 The quality inspection during different working procedures shall be done by personnel from construction unit led by project supervisor.
6 The quality inspection record shall be filled according to the requirements in Appendix C of this code.
2. 1. 7 Quality control doacuments of automatic fire alarm system shall be filled according to the requirements in Appendix D of this code.
2. 1. 8 On-site inspection shall be done for the equipments, materials and fitting parts of the automatic fire alarm system before installation. Unqualified ones shall not be used.
2. 1. 9 Acceptance of the quality of part project shall be done jointly by project leader from installation unit, project supervisor and project leader from design institute led by project leader from construction unit. Acceptance record of the automatic fire alarm system shall be filled according to the requirements in Appendix E of this code.
2. 2 Receiving Acceptance of Equipments and Materials
2. 2. 1 When the equipments, materials and fitting parts enter into the construction site, product list, specifications, quality certificates, testing reports from nationally certified quality supervision and testing organizations shall be provided. Products of automatic fire alarm system that must pass China Compulsory Certification or Approval shall have quality certificate (approval) and certification (approval) mark.
