1. General provisions
1.0.1 This Code is formulated with a view to strengthening the construction management of water supply and sewerage (hereafter referred to water supply and sewerage as simply) structures, specifying the construction technique, unifying the construction quality inspection and acceptance standard, and ensuring the engineering quality.
1.0.2 This Code is applicable to the construction and acceptance of the routine water supply and sewerage structures in the construction, extension and renovation of urban public utilities and industrial organization. This Code is inapplicable to the construction and acceptance of the water supply and sewerage structures with special requirements in industrial organizations.
1.0.3 The variety, specifications and performance of such products as those raw materials and semi-manufactured goods, finished products used in the water supply and sewerage structures must comply with those specified in the national relevant standards and the design requirements; and the products contacting the drinking water must comply with the sanitary requirements. Products eliminated and forbidden by the state with public proclamation are strictly prohibited to being used.
1.0.4 The construction and acceptance of the water supply and sewerage structures shall not only comply with those specified in this Code, but also comply with those specified in the related national current standards.
2. Terms
2.0.1 Cofferdam
In construction period, the water diversion and retaining facilities for protecting the foundation pit, retaining the river water (sea water and lake water), avoiding the main structure being directly in water.
2.0.2 Construction drainage
In the earth excavation or structure construction, it is construction drainage work carried for keeping the construction in foundation pit or trench at ambient condition without influence of water. The routine method is divided into drainage by open channel and drainage by well points.
2.0.3 Drainage by open channel
It is the drainage pattern that gathering the surface or groundwater flowing into the foundation pit or trench into the collecting well and pump it away with water pumps.
2.0.4 Drainage by well points
Which is also named as well point dewatering. It shall set perforated pipe (well) in the foundation pit or around the trench, before and in the excavation procedure of foundation pit (trench), pump the water from the perforated pipe (well) with pumping equipments continuously to make the groundwater level drop to bellow the pit (trench) bottom for meeting the drainage pattern of manual dropping groundwater level in dry construction condition. And the well point types include light-duty well point, eductor well point, electroosmosis well point, water pipe well point and deep-water pump well point.
2.0.5 Construction joint
In the construction of concrete placement, it is the faying surface or post-placed strip set at the preselected cease position when the placement can not be carried on continuously due to the reasons on techniques or construction organization.
2.0.6 Post-placed strip
The post-placed construction joints set after the mass concrete structures have been placed.
2.0.7 Deformation joint
It is the construction joint set for adapting to the horizontal and vertical deflection resulted from actions of temperature fluctuation, foundation settlement and earthquake destruction, which includes expansion joint, settlement joint and earthquake-proof joint.
2.0.8 Water stopping band; water sealing band
It is the banding facilities used at the adjacent part of structures or channels or among the sectionalized joint for preventing the joint face from generating leakage, its material types include metal, rubber and plastic.
2.0.9 Open caisson
It shall manufacture shaft casing (shaft chamber) overground in advance, and then excavate in the shaft casing (shaft chamber) to make them sink down to the design elevation by deadweight or external force, and implement the construction method of bottom closing and internal engineering.
2.0.10 Prefabricated concrete cistern
The reinforced concrete structures mainly assembled with such components as precast reinforced concrete tank wall or half-finished products.
2.0.11 Prestressed concrete cistern
It is the concrete cistern of allocated stressed prestressed reinforcement by previously applying internal stress before the external load acting through stretching or other methods.
2.0.12 Ponding cistern
