Volume I of this standard specifies the method for determination of total arsenic in foods. Volume II of this standard specifies the liquid chromatogram-atomic fluorescence spectrometry and the liquid chromatogram-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry for determination of abio-arsenic content in foods.
Methods I, II, and III in Volume I of this standard are applicable to the determination of total arsenic in various foods. Volume II is applicable to the determination of abio-arsenic (including arsenate and arsenite) content in rice, aquatic animals, cereal-based complementary foods for infants and children as well as canned complementary foods for infants and children.
