1 Scope
This standard is applicable to the food contact metal materials and articles.
2 Terms and definitions
2.1
food contact metal materials and articles
all kinds of metal (including all kinds of metal coatings and alloys) materials and articles that are expected to be in contact or have already come into contact with food under normal conditions of use, hereinafter referred to as "metal materials and articles"
2.2
metal coating
metal coating formed on the surface of a solid material or article in contact with food by any plating technique

substrate
materials constituting substrates of the metal materials and articles, excluding top coatings and metal coatings
2.4
alloying elements
one or more metal or nonmetal elements intentionally added to meet certain performance requirements (such as tensile strength, hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity) during the smelting of metals
Metal alloying elements include aluminum, copper, chromium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, zinc, tin and cobalt; non-metal alloying elements include carbon and silicon.

3 Basic requirements
The metal materials and articles shall meet the requirements of GB 4806.1.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Requirements for raw materials
4.1.1 The metal materials and articles shall not use any metal substrate, metal coating or welding consumable which can endanger human health.
4.1.2 Manufacturers of metal materials and articles shall control the substances used and left in the process of metal surface treatment (such as pickling, oxidation, phosphating, polishing, rust prevention and oiling), so that the amount of substances migrated into food meets the requirements of GB 4806.1.
