This standard replaces GB 21027-2007 Request in common use of security for student’s articles, and the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB 21027-2007:

——addition of compass, manual pencil sharpeners, correction stickers, book cover, pencil lead, ink and knives, and deletion of finger-painting pigments in the scope of student's articles (see Chapter 1);
——addition of the scope of adhesive (see Chapter 1);
——addition of the inapplicable range of this standard (see Chapter 1);
——addition of terms and definitions (see Chapter 3);
——addition of the maximum limit of migratable elements in pencil lead and deletion of required maximum limit of finger-painting pigments (see 4.1);
——addition of the requirements that the accessible printing, brushing and painting parts of student’s articles shall be exempted from sampling when the samples are too small (see 4.1);
—— addition of the limit of acrylamide in adhesive (liquid adhesive) (see 4.2);

Request in common use of security for student's articles
1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods and identification of student' s articles.
This standard is applicable to the articles used by students under 14 years old (including), including watercolor paints, crayons, oil pastels, colored clay, erasers, correction fluids, correction tapes, correction stickers, correction pens, liquid glue, glue stick, paste, watercolor pens, fountain pens, ink ballpoint pens, neutral ink ballpoint pens, water-based ink ballpoint pens, marker pens, whiteboard pens, highlighters, pencils, movable pencils, inks, lead cores, plotter ruler (ruler, triangle ruler, scale, protractor, drawing template, excluding T-square), student compasses, schoolbooks, book covers, schoolbags, pencil bags, stationery scissors, pencil case, manual pencil sharpener, pencil sharpener, art knife and other student supplies.
This standard is not applicable to stationery products used by students over the age of 14 and professionals.

4.1 Limits of migratable elements
The limits of migratable elements in student's articles shall not exceed the maximum limit of the corresponding elements in Table 1. In the maximum limit of migratable elements, the printing, brushing and painting parts of accessible student's articles shall be exempted when each sample obtained from a single sample is less than 10 mg.
