3 Classification
By operation mode, products are classified as:
a) Independent type detector (with monitoring and alarm function);
b) Non-independent type detector.
4 General Requirements
4.1 General Rules
The heat detectors for electric fire prevention (hereinafter referred to as detector) meet the requirements of this Standard upon satisfying this Chapter first, being applied with test according to Chapter 5, and meeting the testing requirements.
4.2 Key Properties
4.2.1 Where the temperature of the monitored position reaches the alarm set value, the detector shall send out the alarm signal within 40s.
4.2.2 The alarm value of the detector shall be set 5s ℃~ 140℃.
4.2.3 The error of the set alarm value and the actual alarm value of the detector shall not be larger than ± 10%, and satisfy the requirements of 4.2.2.
4.3 Monitoring and Alarm Function (only applicable to independent type detector)
4.3.1 The detector shall have working status indicator light and self-check function.
4.3.2 The detector, while alarming, shall send out acoustic and light alarm signal, and keep it till manual reset.
4.3.3 Under the alarm condition, the sound pressure level (A-weighted) 1m away in front of its acoustic device shall be larger than 70 dB and less than 115 dB; the light signal 3m away in front shall be clearly discernible in the ambient condition where the illumination is not higher than 500 1x.
4.3.4 The detector that have function of communication with other detector or alarm and control unit shall also satisfy the corresponding requirement of the manufacturer.
4.4 Operating Instructions
Each detector shall have corresponding instructions in Chinese. The instructions shall satisfy the requirements of GB 9969.1.
