Hydraulic fluids of L-HL, L-HM, L-HV, L-HS and L-HG type
WARNING: The production, handling and use of products as specified in this standard may be hazardous, if suitable precautions are not observed. This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems associated with the product. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and protective practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification and labeling, requirements and test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of hydraulic fluids of L-HL, L-HM (high-pressure), L-HM (general), L-HV, L-HS and L-HG type.
This standard is applicable to hydraulic fluids intended for hydrostatic hydraulic systems.

3 Classification and labeling
3.1 Product classification
According to GB/T 7631.2, this standard classifies hydraulic fluids into five categories: L-HL anti-oxidation and anti-rust hydraulic fluids, L-HM anti-wear hydraulic fluids (high-pressure and general), L-HV low-temperature hydraulic fluids, L-HS ultra-low temperature hydraulic fluids, and L-HG hydraulic slide ways fluids.
3.2 Product labeling
Hydraulic fluids are labeled as:
Category code Viscosity grade Product name Standard No.
Example: L-HL 46 Anti-oxidation and anti-rust hydraulic fluids GB 11118.1;
L-HM 46 Anti-wear hydraulic fluids (high-pressure) GB 11118.1;
L-HM 46 Anti-wear hydraulic fluids (general) GB 11118.1;
L-HV 46 Low-temperature hydraulic fluids GB 11118.1;
L-HS 46 Ultra-low temperature hydraulic fluids GB 11118.1;
L-HG 46 Hydraulic slide ways fluids GB 11118.1.
