1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements of wire intercom communication system for physical protection of nuclear material and nuclear facilities (hereinafter referred to as "wire intercom communication system") in fixed places.
This standard is applicable to the design and acceptance of wire intercom communication system in the physical protection project of nuclear material and nuclear facilities in constructed, extended and renovated fixed places.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
physical protection system
security & protection system that has the functions of detection, delay and response and is used to prevent nuclear facilities and nuclear materials from sabotage and nuclear materials from stealing, robbery or unauthorized transfer and use
3.2
wire intercom communication system
communication system with the functions of calling, talking and dispatching, which is composed of dispatching unit, communication switch, intermediate transmission equipment, extension unit, system power supply and the like through the generic cabling system or Ethernet
3.3
dispatching unit
user extension unit with functions of calling, dispatching, etc., which is provided to the on-duty personnel in the physical protection and security control center for operation and use
3.4
communication switch
device in system that has the functions of accessing, relaying, regenerating, amplifying, distributing, forwarding, switching or controlling various signals, or device that provides call control function based on packet switched network using program-controlled software
3.5
extension unit
device installed in duty room, at the entrance and exit, etc., with functions of calling and talking
4 General
4.1 The wire intercom communication system shall determine the system scheme, architecture and function according to the physical protection level and design basis threat, and shall meet the requirements of the physical protection system for wire intercom communication.
4.2 The wire intercom communication system shall be safe, reliable, expandable and flexible, so as to be practical, reliable, technologically advanced, economical and reasonable.
4.3 The equipment used in the wire intercom communication system shall meet the requirements of national laws, regulations and relevant standards.
