This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009 Directives for standardization—Part 1: Structure and drafting of standards.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements in terms of the purpose and stage of mineral geological exploration, degree of exploration research, degree of exploration control, green exploration, exploration work and its quality, feasibility evaluation, resource reserve type conditions, resource reserve estimation, etc. of limestone and cement ingredients1).
This standard is applicable to geological exploration, resource reserve estimation and achievement evaluation of limestone and cement ingredient minerals in various stages.

3 Purpose and stage of exploration
3.1 Purpose
The purpose is to find and evaluate the deposits (bodies) that can be further explored or exploited, provide relevant geological information for exploration or development decisions, and finally provide necessary geological data for mine construction design, so as to reduce the investment risk of deposit exploration and development and obtain reasonable economic benefits.
3.2 Classification of exploration stages and the objectives and tasks of each stage
3.2.1 Classification of exploration stages
According to GB/T 17766 and GB/T 13908, the exploration work of limestone and cement ingredient minerals can be classified into three stages: general exploration, detailed exploration and advanced exploration, which shall be carried out step by step. When merging or submitting exploration results across stages, it should also be implemented step by step with reference to the requirements of exploration stages.
3.2.2 General exploration stage
On the basis of regional geological survey and research, search for, inspect and trace ore bearing geological bodies and find ore bodies through effective exploration means (geological mapping, trenching, shallow well or shallow drilling, drilling); preliminarily identify the geological characteristics of ore bodies (beds) and ore processing technical performance; preliminarily understand the mining technical conditions through sparse sampling engineering control and testing, experimental research; and conduct a rough study in order to estimate and infer the amount of resources, and evaluate whether it is necessary to transfer to detailed exploration, and propose the scope for detailed exploration.
3.2.3 Detailed exploration stage
On the basis of general exploration, conduct systematic engineering control, testing and experimental research on the ore body through effective exploration means to basically identify the geological characteristics of the deposit (body), the technical performance of ore processing and the technical conditions for mining, so as to provide a geological basis for the division of mining areas and the determination of exploration areas; conduct a general study in order to estimate the amount of controlled resources and inferred resources, and evaluate whether it is necessary to transfer to exploration, and propose the scope of exploration; pre-feasibility study or feasibility study may also be carried out to estimate credible reserves.
3.2.4 Advanced exploration stage
On the basis of detailed exploration, and through effective exploration means, the ore body shall be subject to infilling engineering control and test as well as in-depth test and study in order to identify the geological characteristics of the ore body, the technical performance of ore processing and the mining technical conditions in detail, so as to provide the necessary geological data for the mine construction design to determine the mine production size, mining method, and the general layout of the mine; conduct a general study in order to estimate the inferred, controlled and proved resources; pre-feasibility study or feasibility study may also be carried out to estimate credible reserves and proved reserves.
4 Exploration research degree
4.1 General exploration stage
4.1.1 Geology of exploration area
4.1.1.1 Collect regional geological data as comprehensively and timely as possible, especially the data related to geological, mineral, geophysical, remote sensing, prospecting engineering and sampling test (test), and exploration and mining data of the same mineral mines, latest research results, etc., and make use of them on the basis of full research.
4.1.1.2 Through geological mapping (generally simple mapping) with a scale of 1:10000 or 1:5000, using outcrop inspection, and with the help of existing engineering exposure, preliminarily identify the spatial distribution of ore bed, large folds, fault and joint fissure development sections, the number, type and distribution of magmatic rock and metamorphic rock, and study the impact of topography on the exploration area boundary and mining slope.
4.1.2 Ore body characteristics
4.1.2.1 As required, a simple geological survey or a preliminary survey of the deposit with a scale of 1:2000 to 1:1000 shall be carried out to preliminarily identify the number, shape, size, occurrence, thickness and overall distribution range of the ore body (bed), and preliminarily identify the number, type, distribution and main chemical composition of the dunn bass.
4.1.2.2 Where there are multiple layers of dolomite or dolomitic limestone in the limestone bed for cement, it should be circled by geological mapping.
4.1.2.3 Have a general understanding of the types and main chemical compositions of the surrounding rocks of the ore body, preliminarily identify the distribution, types and thickness of the overburden of the ore body, and preliminarily identify the morphological characteristics, size and distribution range of limestone karst.
4.1.3 Ore characteristics
By comparing the sampling identification (rock ore identification), testing and analysis of the sparse project with the known deposits with similar geological characteristics, the ore type, mineral composition, chemical composition, grade and distribution; the grain size of clay raw materials and siliceous raw materials, the plasticity of clay raw materials; and the depth and distribution range of the ore body weathering zone are all preliminarily identified. The commercial type of deposit, classification of structural characteristics of limestone, and classification of deposit size are shown in Annex A.
4.1.4 Test requirements for ore processing technology
Generally, the comparison study of ore processing technology is carried out to preliminarily identify the processing technical performance of ore.
4.1.5 Technical conditions of exploitation
4.1.5.1 Collect and analyze regional hydrogeology, engineering geology and environmental geology data, and traffic, power supply and other construction conditions data, and preliminarily identify the hydrogeology, engineering geology and environmental geology conditions of limestone exploration area.
4.1.5.2 When selecting limestone exploration area for cement, it is generally required that the mine is located within 20 km to 50 km of railway (highway) or navigable river and seaport wharf, and the energy required for production must be guaranteed. There shall be industrial sites suitable for building factories near the mines, and they shall be far away from cities, scenic spots, historical sites and large residential areas. There must be clay and siliceous raw material mines for cement nearby (within 20 km to 50 km), which must be implemented at the same time as limestone mines.
4.1.6 Comprehensive exploration and evaluation
The occurrence characteristics of symbiotic minerals and the possibility of comprehensive utilization shall be preliminarily identified. The requirements specified in GB/T 25283 apply.
