This standard specifies the main criteria and relevant limitation of pulverized coal fired boiler matching with thermal power unit according to coal quality design, firing method selection and furnace characteristic parameters, and proposes several advice for the design of furnace and burner. This standard is applicable to the large capacity unit with rated generation power equal to 300MW~600MW. The pulverized coal fired boiler of thermal power unit with generation powerless than 300MW and larger than 600 MW may refer to this standard.
For the furnace not only firing pulverized-coal, but also other combustible fuels or partially inputting external heat source, this standard shall only be taken as the reference.
This standard has not referred to slag-tap pulverized coal fired boiler.
