1 Application Scope
The Rule is applicable to small power motors for driving with the rated voltage above 36V (excluding 36V), DC 1500V and AC below 1000V, including:
(1) (Where the rotational speed is converted to 1500r/min) all kinds of AC asynchronous motors and AC synchronous motors with the maximum continuous rated power not greater than 1.1kW;
(2) AC commutator motors and DC motors with the maximum continuous rated power not greater than 1.1kW.
Note 1: The rated power is less than or equal to the product of synchronous speed and 1.1kW/1500.
Note 2: Explosion-proof motors and control motors (such as servo motor, stepping motor, selsyn, rotating transformer, tachogenerator and induction phase shifter) are excluded.
Note 3: It is not applicable to multi-voltage and multi-speed motors with one quota beyond the above application scope.
The adjustment of application scope caused by changes, e.g. legal or relevant product standards, technology, and industrial policy, shall be subject CNCA announcement.
2. Certification Standards
GB12350 Safety Requirements of Small-power Motors
GB14711 General Requirements for Safety of Small and Medium Size Rotating Electrical Machines
In principle, the above standards shall implement the latest edition issued by the competent department of the National Standardization Administration. Where other editions of the standard are required, they shall be subject to the CNCA announcements which are applicable to relevant standard requirements.
3 Certification Mode
The basic compulsory certification mode for small power motors is as follows:
Type test + post-certification supervision;
The post-certification supervision above refers to one of the three modes, i.e. post-certification follow-up inspection, sample testing/inspection on production site and market sample testing/inspection.
