1 Scope
This standard specifies the scope, terms and definitions, principle and method, apparatus, measurement procedure, data processing and measurement report for measurement of oxygen mass transfer in clean water for fine bubble diffuser.
This standard is applicable to the measurement of oxygen mass transfer in clean water for different types of fine bubble diffusers made of different materials and may also be referred for the measurement of oxygen mass transfer in clean water for other types of blowing diffuser.
2 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
2.1
Fine bubble diffuser
A blowing diffuser which transfers oxygen into water and generates bubbles with diameter less than or equal to 3mm.
2.2
Standard conditions
The conditions where the atmospheric pressure is 101.325kPa and the water temperature is 20℃.
2.3
Measurement conditions
The water depth, air flow and diffuser placement density during measurement of oxygen mass transfer for diffuser.
2.4
Oxygen transfer coefficient
It represents the characteristic quantity of oxygen transfer for diffuser under certain measurement conditions, in 1/min, expressed by KLa. It is the same in numerical value with the oxygen mass transferred by a diffuser into per unit volume of water in unit time under the measurement conditions and the action of unit mass transfer driving force.
