——The minimum drainage discharge of floor drain has been adjusted;
——The technical requirements for minimum seal capacity and ratio of water seal of water seal floor drain have been added;
——The methods for testing the drainage discharge, self-cleansing capacity and water seal stability of floor drains have been modified;
——The original Annex C “Auxiliary verbs used in clause expression” has been changed as Annex C “Floor drain application conditions”.
This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of Technical Committee on Building Water Supply and Drainage Standardization Administration of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
The previous edition of this standard is as follows:
——CJ/T 186-2003.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
floor drain
device for discharging accumulated water on the ground or receiving drainage from appliances at the same time, which is composed of grate, body, discharge joint and other components
3.2
water seal
water storage structure in floor drain for preventing harmful gases, etc., from escaping
3.3
straight floor drain
floor drain with bottom discharge opening, with its body without water seal or other accessories
3.4
water seal floor drain
refer in particular to floor drain with traps or other structural types of water seals inside, which meets the requirements of effective trap seal, minimum seal capacity and ratio of water seal
3.5
special type floor drain
non-straight floor drain with one or more functions, such as anti-dried up floor drain, water injection floor drain, seal-type floor drain, grid-type floor drain, forbidden-spill floor drain, multiple-connection floor drain, side-drain floor drain, embedded floor drain, anti-siphon floor drain and special large flow floor drain
3.6
anti-dried up floor drain
water seal floor drain with the function of preventing the water seal of floor drain from drying up (evaporation of water seal, etc.)
3.7
water injection floor drain
floor drain capable of maintaining certain seal depth by injecting clear water into the trap via water injection controller
3.8
seal-type floor drain
floor drain with seal cover which is a floor drain without water seal, and which is opened manually when drains and sealed when does not drain
3.9
grid-type floor drain
floor drain with movable grid for intercepting sundries in water, which has two internal structures: that with water seal and that without water seal
3.10
forbidden-spill floor drain
water seal floor drain with the function of preventing the waste water from overflowing the ground during discharge and preventing the waste water in the drainage system from overflowing back to the ground
3.11
multiple-connection floor drain
water seal floor drain accepting the drainage from ground and, at the same time, from 1~2 appliances
3.12
side-drain floor drain
floor drain without water seal with L-shaped grate, which is installed vertically and has the function of laterally receiving and discharging the accumulated water on the ground
3.13
embedded floor drain
water seal floor drain directly installed in the cushion, with its outlet pipe not crossing the floor, which is also called directly embedded floor drain
3.14
anti-siphon floor drain
water seal floor drain capable of preventing negative pressure suction and reducing siphon water seal loss
3.15
special large flow floor drain
floor drain without water seal, with the floor drain grate opening area large and capable of accepting large drainage discharge
3.16
seal capacity
water storage volume in the range below the water seal surface
3.17
mechanical anti-dry unit
mechanical unit which is arranged in the floor drain body and has the functions of slowing down evaporation loss of water seal and preventing overflow, such as floating ball type or movable plate type anti-dry unit and magnetic tipping bucket anti-dry unit
3.18
grate
component of floor drain, which is a cover with pore and installed on the floor drain surface
3.19
cover
component of seal-type floor drain, which is a cover without pore and installed on the floor drain surface
3.20
adjustable segment
component of floor drain, which is used to coordinate the height of grate surface with the floor surface
3.21
waterproof wing ring
component of floor drain body, which is arranged at the periphery of the floor drain body so as to prevent water seepage at the contact part between the floor drain and the floor
3.22
seal depth
vertical distance between the highest water level of water stored in floor drain and the lower opening of water seal
3.23
ratio of water seal
ratio of free water surface areas between outlet channel end and inlet channel end of floor drain water seal
3.24
self-cleansing capacity
capacity of preventing sundries from depositing of the internal structure of floor drain, which is generally detected based on the discharge rate of 100 small plastic balls under rated drainage discharge
4 Classification and model
4.1 Classification
4.1.1 The types shall be classified into straight type and special type according to the use function or structure form.
4.1.2 The specifications shall be expressed based on the nominal size of the discharge joint, including DN50, N75, DN100 and DN150.
4.1.3 The floor drains are named by use function or structure form. Such as straight floor drain, seal-type floor drain, grid-type floor drain, forbidden-spill floor drain, multiple-connection floor drain, side-drain floor drain, embedded floor drain, special large flow floor drain, anti-dried up floor drain, anti-siphon floor drain and water injection floor drain.
4.2 Model
4.2.1 Model shall be expressed based on specifications, with or without water seal, material, discharge joint form and connection mode.
