1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification and labeling, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, package and storage of wafer type check valves (hereinafter referred to as check valve) with flange connection dimension and sealing face in accordance with GB/T 2501. This standard is applicable to the design, manufacturing and acceptance of check valves for system with fresh water, seawater or inert gas as the medium.

3 Classification and Labeling
3.1 Classification
The types of check valve are specified as follows:
Type A - is applicable to the check valve for system with fresh water and seawater as the medium;
Type B - is applicable to the check valve for system with inert gas as the medium.
