1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements of metal and nonmetal underground mines (including mines of accompanying radon and its daughters) on under-well local ventilation in safety assessment, design, construction and exploitation process.
This standard is applicable to safety assessment, design, construction and exploitation of metal and nonmetal underground mines (including mines of accompanying radon and its daughters). It is also applicable to the part of deep open-pit mine which is exploited by adopting underground shaft and drift.
This standard is not applicable to the exploitation of radioactive mineral resources, coal, mine coal-derived pyrite and other paragenetic mineral resources of coal.
This standard is not applicable to the exploitation of mineral resources in liquid or gas state like petroleum, natural gas, mineral water, etc.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
metal and nonmetal underground mines
stope and its ancillary facilities taking footrill, inclined shaft, slope ramp, shaft, etc. as entrance/exit, which is deeply below the surface and used for the exploitation of metal or nonmetallic minerals used for architecture industry, industry or processing industry
3.2
mine local ventilation
the method of ventilating the under-well blind drift by making use of the wind pressure generated by local ventilator or main ventilator
