This part specifies the designation, requirements and test methods of aramid fiber reinforced plastic (hereinafter referred to as KFRP) rods, a kind of non-metal reinforcement for optical fiber cables.

The composition of product designation is shown in Figure 1. In the designation, the diameter is expressed in millimeters (mm), and the body diameter and coating diameter are only accurate to one decimal place.
