1 Scope
This standard specifies the product classification and naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and instructions for use, and packaging, transportation and storage requirements of Fig-8 self-support optical fiber cables for outdoor telecommunications (hereinafter referred to as “optical fiber cables”).
This standard is applicable to Fig-8 self-support optical fiber cables for outdoor telecommunications.

4.1 General
The optical fiber cables are classified in accordance with those specified in GB/T 7424.1, Clause 4, and have their types, specifications and compilation models classified in accordance with YD/T 908.
