3 Test Requirements
3.1 Single car test for railway passenger car and wagon brake (hereafter referred to as “single car test”) may be conducted only if the brake assembly meets the requirements for railway passenger car and wagon as specified TB/T 1901-1999.
3.2 Where two or more sets of brakes are installed in one car, each set shall undergo single car test.
3.3 During single car test, other pneumatic devices installed in the car shall be under the car-operating state and shall not influence the normal function of brake.
Single car test shall be conducted under empty vehicle state. For the purpose of the loaded car test or single car test for empty/loaded car equipped with empty and loaded automatic adjustment equipment, the relevant requirements shall apply.
3.5 The single car test for railway passenger car and wagon brake shall be carried out with single car tester for passenger car and for wagon respectively. The test pressure (hereafter referred to as constant pressure) shall be 600kPa and 500kPa respectively.
3.6 Single car tester shall be used to perform function inspection according to Appendix A.
3.7 For the purpose of single car test, double-needle or single-needle pressure gauge with measuring range of 0~1000kPa and precision grade of 1.5 shall be adopted and calibrated every three months. The single car tester collecting the pressure value by other means shall comply with the relevant requirements.
3.8 The rubber hose connecting the single car tester and the brake hose connector of tested car shall be 25mm in inner diameter and 1.5m~2m in length.
