Methods for sea trials of submarine radar
1 Scope
1.1 Subject content
This standard specifies the trial methods of submarine radar (radar for short) in terms of detection range, detection accuracy, target resolution, minimum operating distance and anti-jamming ability.
1.2 Applicability
This standard is applicable to submarine radar.

3 Definitions
As for the terms undefined in this standard, GB 3784 shall prevail.
3.1
submarine radar
radar equipped on submarines
3.2
sea trials for radar
special trials on the main tactical performance of the radar on trials with submarines or target ships sailing according to the specified routes
3.3
target ship
ship that is the target of the sea trials for radar on trials
3.4
voyage number
the number of round-trip voyages completed by a submarine or target ship according to the specified route
3.5
detection range
range in which a radar can find (detect) the target coordinates under specified conditions
3.6
detection accuracy
the statistical value of the difference between the measured value and the true value of the target coordinates in the detection state of radar (generally expressed by root mean square error)
3.7
target resolution
the minimum interval between two targets that can be distinguished only in one dimension, with their other dimensions measured by radar identical
3.8
screening range
operating range when radar receives active jamming
3.9
radar on trials
radar subjected to main tactical performance trials
4 General
4.1 Status of radar on trials
Before trials, the radar on trials shall comply with 5.1.1 of GJB 403.2.
4.2 Trial site
4.2.1 The installation and connection quality of radar meet the requirements of product specifications, submarine installation design drawings, process standard documents and relevant national standards and specifications.
4.2.2 The performance indexes of power supply and oil supply for radar shall comply with relevant standards and specifications of submarines.
4.2.3 Equipment matching and device linking with radar operate normally.
4.2.4 The radar antenna shall have no obstruction to the sea radiation, and the sea condition is that the sea wave is no more than Scale 2.
4.2.5 The corner reflector of the target ship or equivalent target shall be equipped according to the product specification.
4.3 Trial equipment and instruments
4.3.1 Trial equipment and instruments must reach the specified accuracy and except for special provisions, the accuracy shall be better than 1/3 of the allowable error of the measured parameters.
4.3.2 Trial equipment and instruments must have the qualification certificate of effective service life given by the measurement department.
4.4 Radar operators
Radar operators shall be trained to understand the performance of the radar on trials and master the operation methods.
4.5 Treatment of trial process
4.5.1 Interrupt trials
