Snow boots
1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements of snow boots such as marking, sensory quality and physical and mechanical properties, odor and after-sale quality judgment, describes the corresponding test methods, stipulates the qualification judgment, inspection rules, packaging, transportation and storage, and also gives the product classification to facilitate specification of techniques.
This document is applicable to the production, inspection and sales of snow boots for daily wear. The production, inspection and sale of other footwear products with thermal insulation function may be carried out with reference to this document.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2703 and the following apply.

It refers to inner side and back side of shoe uppers in general.

snow boots
footwear of which the upper is made of complete skin and hair or leather combined with wool or blended materials or other materials, which is provided with certain warming function

3.3
infants' snow boots
snow boots (3.2) with a size not greater than 170, generally intended for infants aged 3 years and younger
3.4
children's snow boots
snow boots (3.2) with a size greater than 170, generally intended for children aged over 3 years and up to 14 years
4 Product classification
Snow boots may be classified into the following 3 categories by the wearers:
——Infants' snow boots;
——Children's snow boots;
——Other snow boots (snow boots except infants' snow boots and children's snow boots).
