NY/T 1523-2007 Sisal yarn for steel wire rope cores
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, product designation, requirements, sampling and testing, and packaging, marking, transport and storage of the sisal yarn for steel wire rope cores.
This standard is applicable to the sisal yarn for processing steel wire rope cores.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 15030 apply.
4 Product classification
4.1 Product name, type and specification code
The directions of twist in the sisal yarn for steel wire rope cores and their designation shall comply with GB/T 8694. There are two types of twist, that is, Z twist and S twist, based on the direction of twist.
For the sisal yarn for steel wire rope cores, the yarn count is taken as the specification code.
