1 Scope
This standard specifies the principles and technical requirements for interconnecting the energy storage system, in which the electric energy is stored in electrochemical form, with the distribution network.
This standard is applicable to the electrochemical energy storage system interconnecting with the distribution network whose voltage class is 10(20)kV or below; as for other types of energy storage systems interconnecting with the distribution network as well as those in the microgrid, the provisions of this standard may also be referred to.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
electrochemical energy storage system
an equipment system which can carry out electric energy storage, conversion and releasing cyclically and controllably in an electrochemical way
3.2
converter
an electrical equipment which is used to convert the voltage, frequency, phase, phase number of the power system as well as other characteristics of the capacity
3.3
point of interconnection
for energy storage systems equipped with booster station, the point of interconnection is the bus or node on the high-voltage side of the booster station; for energy storage systems without booster station, it is the aggregation point of electric energy output
3.4
interconnection interface
an integration of individual equipment or several equipment, including the interconnected parts between converter and distribution network as well as system access and control, relay protection and automatic safety device, automated communication device, measuring device, etc. The schematic diagram for the interconnection interface of electrochemical energy storage system and distribution network is as shown in Figure 1
