1 Scope
This standard specifies the design requirements for nuclear safety related steel structure for pressure water reactor nuclear power plant.
This standard is applicable to the design of nuclear safety related steel structure for pressure water reactor nuclear power plant; as for other nuclear facilities, this standard may also be implemented by reference.
This standard is not applicable to components maintaining pressure in nuclear facility, such as containment steel liners, pressure vessels, valves, pumps, pipelines as well as supports and hangers, and it is not applicable to steel structure in steel-concrete composite structure, neither.

Load and action
The generic term of a group of concentrated force or distributed force acting on structure as well as various causes capable of enabling structure to generate effect (internal force, stress, displacement, strain, crack, etc. of structures or members).
