Zirconium sand
1 Scope
This standard specifies terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage for zirconium sand.
This standard is applicable to zirconium mineral products enriched and refined from zirconium-containing minerals by manual or mechanical physical methods, and those separated and extracted by chemical methods from rocks and gangue minerals.

zircon sand
sandy ore mainly composed of zirconium silicate (ZrSiO4) which is enriched and extracted from coastal placers, residual placers, alluvial placers, dikes and rocks by physical mining methods such as manual and mechanical methods or chemical methods, and usually contains associated ore. Generally, it is divided into zirconium concentrate, zirconium middling, zirconium coarseore, zirconium deposits, etc.
