Fiber-cement pipe for evacuation of sewerage and joint
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terminologies and definitions, classification, shape and specifications, marks, raw materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings and certificates, transportation and storage of fiber-cement cable conduit and joint.
This standard is applicable to fiber-cement cable conduit (hereinafter referred to as cable conduit) and joint produced with inorganic mineral fibers, organic synthetic fibers or plant fibers as reinforced materials for protecting electric wires or cables in the fields of electric power, communication and others.
2 Normative References
The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections), or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply to this standard. However parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition applies.

3 Terminologies and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terminologies and definitions apply.
3.1
Cable conduit (code: FCP)
Fiber-cement pipe used to protect electric wires or cables in the fields of electric power, communication and others.
3.2
Joint (code: FCJ)
Pipe connectors made of cable conduit materials of the same (or higher) type.
4 Classification, Shape, Specifications and Mark
4.1 Classification
4.1.1 Cable conduit and joint are classified into Categories A, B and C according to the levels of external pressure load and anti-folding load.
- Category A is suitable for concrete encapsulation of cable duct bank and direct burial in sidewalk;
- Categories B and C are suitable for direct burial in vehicle lane or overhead laying.
4.1.2 Cable conduits are classified into superior products, first-class products and acceptable products based on their appearance quality and dimensional deviation.
4.2 Shape and specification
4.2.1 Shape
The shapes of the cable conduit and joint are shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2 respectively.

Figure 2 Joint
4.2.2 Specification
The specification and dimension of the cable conduit and joint are shown in Table 1.
4.3 Mark
The product shall be marked in the order of name, load level, specification (nominal inner diameter (mm) × wall thickness (mm) - length (m)), product class and standard number.
Example: First-class cable conduit with a load class of Class B, a nominal internal diameter of 175 mm, a wall thickness of 14 mm and a length of 3 m is marked as follows:
