3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2900.10 and the following apply.
3.1
rated voltage
reference voltage for cable design, service and electrical property test
Note: rated voltage is expressed by U0/U.
U0 represents the voltage r.m.s. between any main insulated conductor and the "ground" (metallic shield, metallic sheath or surrounding medium); U represents the voltage r.m.s. between any two-phase conductors of multicore cable or single-core cable system.
For AC system, the rated voltage of the cable is at least equal to the nominal voltage of the system using the cable, and this condition applies to both U0 and U values; for DC system, the nominal voltage is not greater than 1.5 times the rated voltage of the cable.
The working voltage of the system is not greater than 1.1 times the nominal voltage of the system.
3.2
nominal value
value by which a quantity is designated and which is often used in tables
Note: in this standard, the quantity value evolved from nominal value is generally inspected through measurement with consideration of the specified tolerance.
3.3
median value
value in the middle of several values obtained from test which are arranged in increasing or decreasing order in the case that the number of values is odd, or the average of two values in the middle of such values arranged as above in the case that the number of values is even
3.4
fictitious diameter
value calculated according to Annex A, GB/T 12706.1-2008
3.5
routine tests
R
tests carried out by the manufacturer on all manufactured lengths of the finished cables
3.6
sample tests
S
tests carried out by the manufacturer on the samples of finished cables or on some components taken from finished cables at a specified frequency
3.7
type tests
T
tests carried out on a type of cable covered by this standard before supply according to general commercial principle
Note: these tests are characterized by the fact that once the type test is conducted, it is unnecessary to repeat it unless the cable characteristic is potentially changed due to the change in material, design or manufacturing process of cable.
4 Service characteristics
4.1 Rated voltage: U0/U is 0.6/1kV.
4.2 The maximum working temperature of conductor (rated working temperature of cable) is 180℃ during normal operation, while that is 350℃ in case of short circuit (lasts for 5s at most).
4.3 The minimum ambient temperature for cables under service is -45℃.
4.4 Allowable vending radius of cables:
——for cables without armour or shielding structure, it shall not be less than six times the outer diameter of cable;
——for cables with armour or shielding structure, it shall not be less than 12 times the outer diameter of cable.
5 Code, model, product representation method and specification
5.1 Code
5.1.1 Conductor code
Classes 1 and 2 copper conductors: omitted;
Class 5 copper conductor (flexible structure): R.
5.1.2 Insulation code
Silicone rubber insulation: G.
5.1.3 Code of inner sheath
Silicone rubber inner sheath: G.
Note: including the extruded inner covering and separation sheath.
