1 Description
1.0.1 This specification is applicable to the design of two types of gas-liquid separator: design of vertical and horizontal gravity separator as well as design of vertical and horizontal wire-mesh separator.
2 Design of vertical and horizontal gravity separators
2.1 Application scope
2.1.1 Gravity separator is applicable to gas-liquid separation with droplet diameter greater than 200μm.
2.1.2 In order to improve the separation efficiency, those such as setting the valve, feeding material and causing material turning directly in front of the gravity separator shall avoided as far as possible.
2.1.3 If there is much liquid and the retention time between high and low liquid level is 6~9min, the horizontal gravity separator shall be used.
2.1.4 If there is less liquid and the height of liquid level is not determined by the retention time, but is limited by the minimum distance of 100mm between different regulating points, the vertical gravity separator shall be used.
