1 Application scope and classification
1.0.1 This specification is applicable to the design of flare system for treating the flammable, toxic and corrosive gases emitted by petrochemical plants and refineries in case of accidents or in normal production.
1.0.2 Flare system usually consists of four parts: flare gas separation tank, flare gas sealing tank, elevated flare stack and flare pipe.
1.0.3 Flare types can be divided into elevated flare and ground flare. The elevated flare consists of stack (including wire support and free support), flare head, stabilizing burner, auxiliary fuel system, igniter and other auxiliary equipment.
1.0.4 The ground flare cannot be used for burning toxic substances. The radius of the minimum barrier-free area around the ground flare shall be 76m ~ 152m, and a fence shall be set to ensure safety.
2 Design of flare system
2.0.1 Design principle of flare system
Different media and working conditions shall be provided with different flare systems. The gas discharged during start-up, normal operation, shut-down and accident shall be sent to the flare for treatment.
2.0.1.1 The flare system treatment capacity shall be designed based on the maximum emission under various conditions, and the system shall operate well in a wide flow range. Flare system itself shall ensure the safe operation of production equipment, and shall consider the impact on the environment, eliminate and minimize the air pollution, noise, etc.
(1) If two flares are arranged centrally, the distance between the flares shall be such that the radiant heat generated when one flare burns the maximum amount of gas will not affect the maintenance work of the other flare.
(2) The air defense signs and lighting protection of the flare shall meet relevant regulations.
2.0.1.2 Discharge system pipe of safety valves and control valves
