1 Scope
This part specifies the multiplex frame structure of audio, data and control information in digital audio broadcasting system within the frequency range of 87~108Mhz.
This part is applicable to the broadcasting system transmitting digital audio broadcasting service and data service through ground wireless coverage within the frequency range of 87~108MHz.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this part, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
Service
Data content such as the audio program broadcasted on schedule.
3.2
Service description information channel
The channel used for carrying the service description information in the logical frame of information channel.
3.3
Service data channel
The channel used for carrying service data in the logical frame of information channel.
3.4
Multiplex frame
The data frame encapsulating the control or service information.
3.5
Control multiplex frame
A kind of multiplex frame used for encapsulating control information.
3.6
Service multiplex frame
A kind of multiplex frame used for encapsulating service information.
3.7
Multiplex sub-frame
The basic composition unit of service multiplex frame.
3.8
Transmission mode of multiplex frame
The occupation of logical frame by the service multiplex frame in the superframe of a digital broadcasting information channel.
3.9
Network
A digital audio broadcasting transfer system which may operate independently; it may include multiple carrier frequencies or broadcast multi-channel service.
3.10
Adjacent network
The network overlapped with or adjacent to the current network coverage area.
3.11
Audio section
A separately defined section in multiplex sub-frame, which is used for carrying audio information.
3.12
Audio unit
The basic composition unit of audio section.
3.13
Data section
A separately defined section in multiplex sub-frame, which is used for carrying multi-media information such as data.
3.14
Data unit
The basic composition unit of data section.
3.15
Encapsulation mode
The mapping method of service information such as audio and data to the multiplex sub-frame, including mapping of Mode 1 (section mode) and Mode 2 (block mode).
3.16
Data block
A kind of specific data structure used for further dividing the audio unit or data unit.
