This standard provides the conversion factors of the committed effective dose of the radioactive aerosol with two particle sizes intaken by staffs, with which the corresponding annual intake limit can be calculated.
This standard is applicable to the workplace of irradiation staffs where radioactive aerosol may exist, and it shall be taken as the reference for assessing the radioactive aerosol pollution level of the air and estimating the inhalation hazard of staffs by internal radiation. The estimation of the internal dosecaused by the artificial radioactive aerosol in the public adult inhalation environment may be conducted by making reference thereto.
This standard is not applicable to the assessment on hazard caused by the inhaled radon daughter in workplace.
