This Part of GB/Z 20177 provides specifications for the transporting of Component Network (CN) packets over Internet Protocol (IP) networks using a tunneling mechanism wherein the CN packets are encapsulated within the IP packets. The purpose of this Part is to insure interoperability between various LONWORKS CN devices that wish to use IP networks to communicate using a particular CN protocol.
This Part is applicable to the design, manufacture, integration, installation and maintenance of Automation Control System and products.
