1 Scope
This standard specifies the chemical analysis of refractories containing chrome. The items analyzed in this standard are as follows:
a) loss on ignition (LOI);
b) silicon dioxide (SiO2);
c) iron oxide (Fe2O3);
d) aluminum oxide (Al2O3);
e) titanium dioxide (TiO2);
f) calcium oxide (CaO);
g) magnesium oxide (MgO);
h) chromic oxide (Cr2O3);
i) potassium oxide (K2O);
j) sodium oxide (Na2O);
k) manganese oxide (MnO).
The determination range for analytical elements applicable in this standard is given in Table 1.
