Safety and control devices for gas burners and gas-burning appliances - Particular requirements - Pneumatic gas/air ratio pressure regulator
1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and grouping, structure and materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, installation and operation instructions, packaging, transportation and storage of pneumatic gas-air ratio regulating devices for burners and burning appliances using urban gas specified in GB/T 13611 (hereinafter referred to as "ratio regulating devices").
This document is applicable to proportional adjustment devices with nominal size not greater than DN 250 and maximum inlet pressure not greater than 500 kPa, which are used for gas water heaters, gas heating water heaters, gas stoves, gas burners/machines, gas heaters, gas steamers, gas boilers and other gas burning appliances or combustion equipment that change the gas pressure by signal pressure and can be tested separately.
This document is not applicable to mechanically linked gas/air proportional regulating devices and electronic gas/air proportional control systems specified in GB/T 39488.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain references which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 30597-2014 apply.
3.1
pneumatic gas/air ratio pressure regulator
apparatus for regulating the output pressure of gas and maintaining a certain ratio to air by responding to signal pressure
Note: See Annex B for application examples.
3.2
gas/air ratio
linear ratio of the signal pressure applied to the proportioning device to the gas outlet pressure
3.3
signal pressure
the air pressure, differential pressure and/or combustion chamber pressure applied to the proportioning device in order to provide a particular gas outlet pressure
3.3.1
positive signal pressure
P3
positive pressure due to air flow
Note: For example, positive pressure signal pressure generated by fan air flow (blowing force).
3.3.2
negative signal pressure
P4
negative pressure due to air flow
Note: For example, negative pressure signal pressure generated by fan airflow (suction force).
3.3.3
combustion chamber pressure
Psc
the combustion flue gas pressure output from the combustion chamber and applied to the proportioning device
3.4
signal chamber
a part where the input of the signal pressure is connected to the proportional adjustment device
3.5
signal tube signal tube
line for transmitting pressure from signal source to signal chamber
3.6
stabilization time settling time
when the signal pressure changes stepwise, the time required for the outlet pressure to reach and remain within a given deviation range
Note: See Figure 1 for the schematic diagram of stabilization time.
3.7
offset adjustment
adjustment of zero point deviation of comparative ratio adjusting device
Note: See Figure 2 for the schematic diagram of offset adjustment of non-industrial proportional adjustment device.
4 Classification and grouping
4.1 Categories
The classification of proportional adjustment devices should comply with the provisions of 4.1 in GB/T 30597-2014, and should be divided into non-industrial uses and industrial uses according to the use occasions of the proportional adjustment devices.
4.2 Grouping
The grouping of proportional adjustment devices shall comply with the provisions of 4.2 in GB/T 30597-2014.
5 Structure and materials
5.1 General requirements
The general structure of the proportional adjustment device shall comply with the provisions of 5.1 in GB/T 30597-2014.
