GB/T 45099-2024 Technical requirements for completion and acceptance of traction battery maintenance
1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements for traction battery maintenance, completion inspection requirements, and quality assurance.
This document is applicable to unpack maintenance of traction batteries for electric vehicles.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 19596 and the following apply.

traction battery; propulsion battery
battery that provides energy for the power system of an electric vehicle

3.2
secondary cell
basic unit device that converts chemical energy and electric energy to each other

assembly composed of more than one secondary cell in series, parallel or series-parallel connection and used as a power supply

battery enclosure
assembly used to contain battery modules, battery management modules (excluding battery management systems) and corresponding auxiliary components, and containing assemblies for mechanical connection, electrical connection, protection and other functions

4 Requirements for maintenance operation
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 The operators, sites, facilities, and equipment for the maintenance of traction battery (hereinafter referred to as the “battery”) shall meet the requirements of GB/T 16739.1 for enterprises engaged in electric vehicle maintenance.
4.1.2 Battery maintenance shall be subject to incoming inspection, process inspection, and completion quality inspection, and battery performance testing shall be conducted in accordance with the requirements specified in the vehicle manufacturer’s maintenance technical documentation (hereinafter referred to as “vehicle maintenance technical documentation”).
4.1.3 Before maintenance, the battery shall be inspected in the factory, and records shall be made according to Table A.1 in Annex A. Batteries with safety risks, such as high temperature, abnormal insulation, liquid leakage, enclosure deformation, water soaking, shall be handled in accordance with the requirements in the vehicle maintenance technical documentation.
4.1.4 Battery maintenance operation shall be carried out according to the maintenance items determined by incoming inspection and unpack inspection of traction battery, and diagnosis, and process inspection and records shall be made according to maintenance items during maintenance process.
4.1.5 Completion quality inspection shall be carried out as per Clause 5 after battery maintenance and recorded shall be made according to Table A.2.
4.1.6 Battery maintenance companies shall keep records of battery maintenance and replacement information and fill them in with reference to Annex B.
