GB/T 44945-2024 Textiles - Quantitative chemical analysis - Mixtures of mulberry silk and tussah silk
1 Scope
This document specifies the test methods for determining the content of mulberry silk and tussah silk in textiles by chemical analysis.
This document is applicable to textiles containing mulberry silk and tussah silk.
Note: In some cases where mulberry silk cannot be sufficiently dissolved or tussah silk is excessively dissolved, the methods specified in this document are not applicable to this sample.
2 Normative References

None.
4 Principle
Dissolve and remove the mulberry silk from the mixture of mulberry silk and tussah silk with a known dry mass using sulfuric acid solution or calcium chloride/ethanol solution (or calcium nitrate solution). Collect the residue, wash, dry and weigh it. Then, calculate its percentage in the dry mass fraction of the mixture based on the corrected mass, and calculate the mass fraction of tussah silk form the difference value. For multi-component products containing mulberry silk and tussah silk, the mass fraction of silk may be determined according to the corresponding method in GB/T 2910, the mass fraction of mulberry silk may be determined according to this document, and then the mass fraction of tussah silk may be obtained from the difference value.
