3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 44254 and the following apply.
3.1
electric earth-moving machinery; EEMM
earth-moving machinery whose operating energy is entirely or partially provided by electrical energy
Note 1: Operating energy refers to the energy required for the operation of earth-moving machinery, including energy input, energy output, and intermediate energy conversion processes.
Note 2: The electrical energy comes from airborne rechargeable energy storage systems, fuel cells, generator devices, external wirings, or other external energy storage devices, etc.

3.2
high energy battery
traction battery characterized by high energy density and mainly used for high energy output
Note: At room temperature, the ratio of the maximum allowable electric power output (W) to the 3I3 discharge energy (Wh) is less than 10.
[Source: GB/T 44254-2024, 3.2.1.1.3]
3.3
high power battery
traction battery characterized by high power density and mainly used for instantaneous high power output and input
Note: At room temperature, the ratio of the maximum allowable electric power output (W) to the 1I1 discharge energy (Wh) is less than 10.

3.4
rated capacity
capacity (Ah) measured at a discharge current of 1I3 for high energy battery and 1I1 for high power battery and declared by the manufacturer after being fully charged at room temperature
[Source: GB/T 44254-2024, 3.4.2.3]
3.5
rated energy
energy (Wh) measured at a discharge current of 1I3 for high energy battery and 1I1 for high power battery and declared by the manufacturer after being fully charged at room temperature
[Source: GB/T 19596-2017, 3.3.3.5.3, modified]
3.6
initial capacity
discharge capacity (Ah) of the newly-manufactured traction battery when it is fully charged at room temperature, and is discharged to the discharge termination condition specified by the manufacturer with the current of 1I3 for high energy battery and 1I1 for high power battery
