Steel wire ropes – Creep testing method
1 Scope
This document specifies the principles, test equipment, specimens, test procedures, test data processing, and test reports for the creep testing of steel wire ropes.
This document is applicable to the determination of creep performance of steel wire ropes under constant load.

creep for steel wire ropes
phenomenon of elongation of steel wire rope length with time after eliminating time-independent inelastic deformation under constant load and temperature conditions
3.2
steel wire ropes percentage elongation
At
percentage of the ratio between the increment of the reference length of a steel wire rope at any time and the original reference length under constant load and temperature conditions
