Round copper wire for electrical purposes
1 Scope
This document specifies the model, structure, specification, representation, technical requirements and delivery requirements, as well as packaging, storage, transport and marking of round copper wires for electrical purposes, describes the test methods, and establishes the acceptance rules.
This document is applicable to the manufacture, testing and application of round copper wires for cables and cords, motors and other electrical and electronic devices.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain requirements which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 3048.2-2007, GB/T 4909.1-2009, GB/T 4909.2-2009, GB/T 4909.3-2009 and the following apply.
3.1
lot
round copper wires of the same condition and specification produced by the same manufacturer under the same production conditions
Note: One lot usually includes part or all of the order quantity.
3.2
single wire
single metal wire having a specified circular section
3.3
multiline wire
metal wire composed of multiple single wires in the same state and specification that are parallel to each other.
4 Models, structures and specifications as well as representation method
4.1 Models
The model of a round copper wire is composed of material code, state code and performance code. The material code “T” means that the material is copper, the state code “R” stands for soft state and “Y” stands for hard state, and the performance code is classified by numbers. See Table 1 for details.
