Specifications for compiling dismantling manual of end-of-life vehicles
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, general compilation principles, compilation items and requirements of the dismantling manual of end-of-life vehicles (hereinafter referred to as the Manual).
This standard is applicable to the compilation of Manuals of M1 and N1 categories vehicle enterprises, and the compilation of Manuals of other types of vehicles may be implemented by reference.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
end-of-life vehicles; ELVs
vehicles that meet the national standard for compulsory scrapping of motor vehicles

dismantling
harmless treatment of end-of-life vehicles, removal of reusable components and parts and main assemblies; decomposition and storage in accordance with the material type of each article; procedures and methods for flattening or cutting vehicle body and structural parts

4 General preparation principles
4.1 Adaptability principle
It shall conform to the current overall technical development level of vehicle dismantling, be practical and reliable. It can guide vehicle dismantling enterprises to dismantle the ELVs safely, efficiently and environmentally friendly.
4.2 Normalization principle
Various units of measurement, pattern markings, Chinese and English names used shall meet the requirements of GB 3100 and other corresponding national or industrial standards. The name of the standard on which they are based shall be indicated if necessary.
4.3 Readability principle
It shall be written in Chinese, and various schematics (including icons) shall be used as accurate and clear as possible.
5 Compilation items and requirements
5.1 Contents
The contents shall at least include but not be limited to the following clauses:
a) Introduction;
b) Glossary;
c) General information;
d) Safety warning instructions;
e) Dismantling process of vehicle and description.
5.2 Introduction
In the introduction part, the purpose and significance of compiling the Manual shall be briefly explained.
Publish the English name and the generic name of the vehicle model, the year of listing, length/width/height (mm), wheelbase (mm), luggage volume (L), the unladen mass of the whole vehicle (kg), tyre (spare tyre) dimension, fuel tank volume (L), transmission type, fuel type, driving mode, 45° left front view of the vehicle model and other technical parameters.
5.3 Terms
The terms part shall describe the special terms and relevant materials quoted in the Manual.
5.4 General information
5.4.1 The general information shall briefly introduce the necessary dismantling conditions and suggestions.
5.4.2 For the dismantling site, dismantling equipment, dismantling tools, storage containers and liquid, solid waste and hazardous waste generated during dismantling, the Manual shall specify that the relevant requirements comply with the requirements of GB 22128-2008 and HJ 348.
