1 Scope
This standard specifies the design, structure, installation, operation and maintenance requirements for safeguard devices.
This standard is applicable to:
– guard device (see Chapter 7);
– protective device (see Chapter 8);
– awareness device (see Chapter 9);
– safeguarding method (see Clause 10);
– safety operation regulation (see Chapter 11).
This standard does not cover the requirements with respect to safeguarding selection for particular purpose which are generally specified in Type C standards.
